Thomas Printworks is seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Manager in Austin, Texas to join our team and drive our plant operations to new heights!

About Our Company: We are a privately held diversified printing services company with annual revenues of almost $65 million. We have been in business for over 60 years, with 25 locations operating throughout Texas, Arizona, Florida, and Minnesota. Thomas Printworks truly is “Everything Print” – From custom printed wallpaper, canvas art, wall graphics, sports, and stadium graphics, museum mounted prints, marketing collateral, banner graphics, vehicle graphics, direct mail, and much more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management: Direct and coordinate store operations within company policies and procedures.
  • Daily Communication: Engage with employees daily on in-house jobs and production schedules. Communicate progress and issues with the Regional Vice President.
  • Scheduling & Quality Control: Schedule jobs to meet quality standards and deadlines. Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Staff Development: Recruit, train, and manage staff. Foster a well-trained and motivated team.
  • Coordination: Work with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of purchasing, production, and delivery.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain adequate inventory levels, manage raw material inventory, and handle cash and credit transactions.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews and manage employee performance and attendance issues.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure safety guidelines are followed and uphold the company’s professional reputation.
  • Additional Duties: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends. Attend meetings and training as scheduled. Keep work areas and vehicles clean and secure.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of printing experience.
Skills:
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Ability to maintain an orderly workflow and prioritize assignments.
  • Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
