Seeking a Legal Assistant with at least two years' experience to support attorneys in various offices at a defense law firm that practices Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act (LHWCA)/Defense Base Act (DBA), War Hazards Compensation Act and Maritime. Experience filing and serving administrative law documents in the Department of Labor/Office of Workers’ Compensation a plus.
The ideal candidate will be a team player, reliable, efficient, and willing to learn our area of practice. We offer a generous benefits package in addition to a competitive salary.The ideal candidate will ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management by providing legal services under the supervision of an attorney. This individual will communicate frequently with the clients in order to serve them adequately. Additionally, this candidate will conduct necessary case research to aid the legal proceedings.
