Position Overview

Under general direction, the Project Coordinator supports the project management and service teams to ensure projects are organized and running smoothly. This role involves assembling, tracking, and dispensing information, assisting with administrative tasks, and collaborating with field leaders in the absence of the Project Manager. This position will support both Electrical Construction and Service. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Document Coordination: Manage the flow of paperwork associated with projects, including coordinating as-builts, uploading submittals and maintenance manuals, and obtaining shop drawing approvals. Review invoices and bill small work orders.
  • Meeting Management: Organize and attend meetings in the absence of Project Managers, including pre-planning, pre-bid, job bid, and other project-related meetings.
  • Project Assistance: Assist with project estimates, schedules, change orders, take-offs, and close-outs.
  • Schedule and Procurement: Maintain project schedules and procure necessary materials and equipment.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients and act as a point of contact for field leaders.
  • Project Management: Oversee small projects independently.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in construction, engineering, or related technology, or a high school diploma with at least two years of relevant experience in construction, electrical construction, project management, or estimating, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting floor plans, blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, construction documents, and specifications.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse teams and clients.
  • Computer Proficiency: Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software applications.
  • Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks and managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Ability to continuously improve project systems and adjust processes to plan and deliver projects successfully.
  • Supportive Role: Ability to assist project managers and team members in ensuring all pre- and post-deployment project activities are documented and accounted for.
  • Travel: Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to job sites and external locations for meetings.
