More About the Position

The Fleet Mechanic will look for ways to improve technician efficiency by fixing and maintaining the company vehicles and other machinery and determining what can be fixed in-house and what needs to be sent out for repair

Pay up to $65 per hour

Hours: 6:30 am until 3:30 pm

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to an acceptable, safe, and functional working condition
• Work with dealerships to ensure all recalls are completed
• Identify any potential issues or concerns with vehicles
• Repairs to vehicles would include brakes, tires, windshield wipers, changing batteries, and all other minor repairs that can done in house

What Does It Take?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• ASE Certification a plus
• Minimum 5 years of machine/vehicle repair/maintenance experience
• Working knowledge of diagnostic systems, methods, testing of equipment/vehicles, and tools
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with different company departments
• Ability to pass prescreening requirements: Clear 9-panel drug test, background check, and a clean motor vehicle report for the past three years 
• Must be at least 20 years old to drive a company vehicle

Please arrive at 24565 Hallwood Ct Farmington Hills, 48335. This building is the second building you will see with the Thornton and Grooms trucks. We do have two buildings.

Parking: Please park in one of our two building lots only. We have signs indicating where the addition parking is along the tree line faces away from Halsted (behind the skating rink), where our trucks are. If you are unsure, please ask one of our staff members when you enter the building and they will guide you on where to park.

Plan to be here around an hour and a half, we will give an overview of the company, a tour, and on-site interview.
