Thornton Heights Terrace, a Joint Commission accredited Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility located in Chicago Heights, is seeking a full-time RN to act as a Manager to the Nursing Department. The successful candidate hired for this position will receive a signing bonus of $3000.

We provide recovery-oriented, person-centered mental health services to adults living with mental illness. Our facility provides holistic services with a staff consisting of social workers, mental health professionals, nurses, and direct-care staff. We offer a variety of programming and activities as well as therapeutic services with 24-hour supervision. Our residents are working on gaining and maintaining mental health stability and developing independence. Many move out of Thornton Heights Terrace and transition to independent living with community support.

Qualified candidates must have a valid RN license in the State of Illinois, with a minimum of one-year supervisory experience. Additionally, the individual should enjoy working with this target population, have a good understanding of the recovery-focused model in working with adults with mental illness, and be team oriented and well-versed in crisis management.

Duties and responsibilities include assisting with planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and supervising the Health Services department, as well as overseeing medication administration, treatment provision, documentation, and communication with both physicians and interdisciplinary team.
