Lead Cloud Engineer is responsible for the implementation, 24x7 operational support, automation, availability, and performance management of the client public cloud platforms, focusing on Microsoft Azure, AWS, and OCI.
Responsibilities:
- Support and implement infrastructure for mission-critical applications (Claims Processing, Enrollment, Financial and Portal Websites).
- Manage cloud infrastructure ensuring 99.98% availability on a 7x24x365 basis.
- Provide on-call escalation and emergency support.
- Configure and support Azure services and AWS environments.
- Contribute to application cloud readiness evaluation and migration plans.
- Design and implement cloud platforms for high availability, performance, security, and agility.
- Implement cost transparency, disaster recovery, and business resiliency best practices.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation.
- Ensure compliance with policies, standards, licensing agreements, and configuration guidelines.
- Administer Active Directory and Azure AD for high security and availability.
- Manage Cloud SAML integration, Azure Enterprise Apps, SSO, and SCIM provisioning.
- Continuously update technical skills through research and training.
- Review, design, and implement new technologies to improve infrastructure or reduce cost.
- Provide excellent customer service and exhibit professionalism in communication.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems, escalating as necessary.
- Work independently and collaboratively to resolve issues.
- Integrate cloud service catalog into ServiceNow.
- Automate Azure builds using Azure DevOps, Terraform, ARM, and BICEP.
- Manage technical aspects of infrastructure projects and major release upgrades.
- Develop project plans and tasks using Jira and Agile methodologies.
- Complete documentation and notifications within established timeframes.
- Contribute to the development of corporate IT standards and policies.
- Ensure project completion within budget constraints.
- Stay current with new IT technologies.
- Create and present technical concepts and project status updates to management.
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- 15 years of total IT experience.
- 4 years of cloud experience.
- Expertise in cloud services such as Entra ID and Landing Zone components.
- Experience with Azure cloud-native services.
- PowerShell scripting or automation experience.
- Cross-platform enterprise experience (Server, Network, Storage, Security).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work a 24x7 on-call shift as needed.
- Azure Architect Certification.
