- Coordinates material flow in multiple factory departments, including shipping and receiving.
- Ensures production personnel have necessary parts to meet production goals.
- Oversees inventory accuracy and timeliness; identifies and resolves production schedule issues.
- Manages tactical execution of production plans; may supervise material handlers or truckers.
- Procures, expedites, produces, and delivers material on time.
- Manages movement of rejected materials to the source.
- Recommends procedures for inventory accuracy and management.
- Identifies and addresses root causes of material shortages.
- Utilizes Master Schedule for daily production schedules.
- Processes inbound/outbound material transactions.
- Audits and plans material replenishment.
- Resolves inventory errors and expedites parts.
- Works on critical shortage reports and implements engineering release outputs.
- Create/edit manufacturing routings.
- Generate laser operation programs.
- Review part prints and check production/forecasted inventories.
- Transfer stock between departments and communicate about material transfers.
- Update reports using Excel and MS Office tools.
- Draw/model simple parts; troubleshoot part requests and laser programs.
- SAP
- CREO
- AutoCAD
- MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- 2-year degree in Pre-Engineering, Manufacturing/Engineering Tech, or related (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in manufacturing settings.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Organized with strong communication skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Experience reading 2D drawings/prints.
- CREO and AutoCAD experience.
- 4-year degree.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Sheet metal and fabrication knowledge.
- SAP experience.
- Comfort with computers.
