Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer

Client: Health Care Insurance Company

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Owings Mills, MD 21117

Purpose:

Design and implement observability solutions using Dynatrace SaaS, APM, DQL, logs on Grail, and dashboarding of business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Decompose business processes into observability requirements
• Develop Dynatrace dashboards
• Define and implement observability strategy
• Lead and guide performance monitoring engineers
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders
• Evaluate and recommend new observability technologies
• Establish and enforce observability standards
• Provide training and mentoring on observability
• Analyze observability metrics and KPIs

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's in IT or Computer Science, or 4 additional years of relevant experience

Experience:

• 8 years in software systems design and implementation
• 5 years in observability or related domains
• 3 years with Dynatrace SaaS, DQL, and Logs on Grail
• Cloud architecture experience, preferably Azure
• Strong automation/scripting skills
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and agile methodologies

Skills:

• Expertise in Dynatrace, Splunk, SolarWinds
• Development of monitoring dashboards
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in technical documentation
• Ability to work independently and in teams

Preferred:

• Azure Solutions Architect certification
• ITIL Foundations v3 within 180 days

Other Requirements:

• Disclose any debarment from Federal health care programs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills
