Job Title: Sr Software Engineer

Client: Health Care Insurance Company

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Owings Mills, Maryland 2111

Purpose:

• Perform complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer software.
• Design, code, test, and document critical and complex application programs.
• Define system scope, objectives, and project standards.
• Break down software requirements and create highly complex systems.

Essential Functions:

• 25% Technical design, coding, testing, and serving as subject matter expert.
• 25% Software analysis, requirements development, and testing.
• 25% Develop software solutions and perform operations & maintenance.
• 25% Provide technical support for critical trouble calls and evaluate emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• 5 years of software development experience with Java/J2EE technologies.
• Proficiency in Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Hibernate, RESTful, AJAX, JSON, SQL, JUnit, Maven.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, JIRA, and DevOps tools.
• Knowledge of Health Care industry practices is a plus.

Software & Tools:

• Java/JEE, Spring MVC, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Hibernate, MyBatis, AngularJS, REST and SOAP Web Services, Git, Maven, Jenkins, JUnit, TestNG, XML, MyEclipse, Unix, Big Data.

Nice to Have:

• WebSphere, AIX, LDAP, DB2, Cucumber, Selenium, Artifactory, Crucible, Agile Scrum, Spark, Scalar, Material Design.
• Experience with B2B development, EDI, XML, SAP IDOC, and HIPAA X12 transactions.
• Unix environment proficiency with Shell scripting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
