At Thrive, hundreds of people come and go through our doors each day. Our Security Associates monitor the premises and protect our valued staff, visitors, and inventory. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience as a security officer or guard, as well as training in de-escalation and first aid. He or she will have a sharp eye with quick reaction time in the detection of any suspicious behavior and top-tier customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

• Welcomes customers as they enter the facility

• Provides exceptional service for customers, answering any questions they may have

• Assists in guiding the flow of customer traffic, both inside and outside

• Conduct security inspections and regular perimeter checks; both inside and outside of the facility

• Loss prevention through active awareness of customer actions

• Enforce security protocols across all employees and customers within the facility

• Maintain logs of daily inspections, routines, and maintenance, when necessary

• Immediately reporting and/or assisting in handling any incidents qualifying as irregular or suspicious and documenting significant events through incident reports

• Works with the store management team to develop security goals and initiatives

• Follows the Company’s security standards to meet team and individual safety goals

• Assist in customer-facing capacity when necessary, ie. customer coordinator identification verification process

• Has the ability to assess emerging situations to determine the type and level of threat they may pose while understanding how to respond to different security threats

• Participates in the management discussions and provides suggestions for improving security functions, customer satisfaction, and/or facility procedures as needed

• Must maintain excellent communication skills, verbal and written

• Upholding cleanliness standards

• Maintains appropriate knowledge of all applicable state and local laws and regulations, as well as processes in accordance with The Cannabis Compliance Board and Dispensary policies and procedures

• Communicates with dispensary agents to facilitate an orderly customer flow to maximize sales and customer satisfaction

• Other duties as assigned by the Retail Manager on Duty

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to be on your feet up to 10 hours

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when needed

• Ability to sit, bend and stand for extended amounts of time

• Ability to be able to walk all day and perform perimeter checks

Requirements:

• Must be age 21 or older

• Ability to obtain required state and city work cards

• High school diploma or equivalent
