Conveniently located in Oak Creek, WI, we are hiring immediately for a full-time Sanitation Supervisor position.

Position: 

  • Title: Sanitation Supervisor
  • Location: Ryan Rd & I-94, Oak Creek, WI
  • Schedule: 1st Shift - 6am – 6pm OR 3rd Shift – 6pm – 6am
  • Reports to: Production Manager

Job Summary:

The Sanitation Supervisor plays a vital role in delivering high-quality product to our customers to fuel their life’s important moments. The ideal candidate is one who is committed to food safety and quality, looks for improvement and is ready to roll up their sleeves with us.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include: 

  • Leadership and oversight of hourly employees, including Interviewing applicants, performance reviews and engagement and discipline.
  • Oversee and manage plant manufacturing operations within the plant regarding janitorial and sanitation.
  • Monitor sanitation technicians and sanitation in their use of chemicals and ensure use of proper safety procedures. They will determine and maintain efficient production processes which will include writing Standard Operating Procedures with visual controls and then train to these processes.
  • Provide leadership throughout the department, promoting a positive work environment for both janitorial and sanitation team members. In striving to obtain and then maintain operational excellence, this individual will provide leadership in driving process improvements, and developing team members to reach their potential.
  • Responsible for properly scheduling personnel to ensure sanitation procedures within the plant are up to specifications and proper coverage is met at each shift in a 24/7 facility.
  • Train, develop, coach, and supervise the team within the department to ensure safe and effective sanitation practices.

 Requirements Include: 

  • A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. 
  • An ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results. 
  • An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations.
  • The possession of quality orientation and attention to detail, problem analysis and resolution. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Familiar with basic computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and excel for data tracking and reporting purposes including responding to emails in a timely and urgent manager.

Physical Requirements - Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations:

  • frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and some fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 20% or more sitting, 50% or more walking, and 70% or more standing.
  • The job is performed under frequent temperature variations and in a food manufacturing warehouse environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift to 40 lbs. is required.

Food Safety & Quality Requirements:

  • Places high priority on food safety, quality, and sanitation by understanding and executing company food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Holds self and others accountable to company food safety & sanitation guidelines and policies by communicating any food safety incident, observation, or opportunity to your leadership team or teammates. 
  • In the absence of Quality Assurance Manager or VP of QA & R&D, serves as back up to ensure all food safety, quality objectives and SQF system requirements are met.
