Thrive & Grow Psychotherapy is Hiring a Mental Health Clinician Near South Windsor, CT

Thrive and Grow Psychotherapy is seeking an associate mental health clinician to join our team. We are an independent group practice in South Windsor, CT that specializes in treating trauma related and other mental health disorders in children and adults. Our ideal candidate shares a passion for helping those healing from trauma and a desire to learn (or apply) EMDR. As part of your benefits, we will train you in EMDR for free and our clinical director will provide free EMDR consultation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling, social work, or related field
  • Active, unrestricted license (LCSW, LMFT or LPC) or associate license (LPCA) in the State of Connecticut. A copy must be provided to Thrive and Grow Psychotherapy
  • Available to hold at least 10 patient sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Thrive and Grow Psychotherapy
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • A team player
  • Able to work independently on tasks assigned
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Passion for working with others (being collaborative) and helping our team members grow and learn
  • Prior experience working with trauma or stress-related disorders is highly preferred
  • Experience working with children is preferred

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site and remote clinical counseling services to patients of Thrive and Grow Psychotherapy, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.
  • Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required
  • Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Thrive and Grow Psychotherapy
  • Respond to patients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc. or through the Thrive and Grow Psychotherapy website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such patients
  • Communicate with a patient’s treatment team (i.e. PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
  • Complete written records for each patient including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by Thrive and Grow Psychotherapy or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient within a timely fashion (by Friday of each week). Keep patient files accurate and up to date.
  • Charge and collect payments from patients for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by Thrive and Grow Psychotherapy.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Thrive and Grow Psychotherapy.
  • Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Thrive and Grow Psychotherapy. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers.
  • Perform other duties may be assigned.
  • Expected hours: at least 10 sessions per week for part time, 25 sessions per week for full time employees
