Thrive PEO is Hiring a Housing Navigator- Landlord Tenant Resource Center Near Tulsa, OK

As a Housing Navigator, you will be a vital member of the Landlord Tenant Resource Center team, connecting people at risk of or experiencing homelessness with essential services and housing. This team is responsible for identifying and facilitating the transition to positive destinations for clients. You will work collaboratively with internal and external teams to secure safe, suitable housing and supportive services for our clients.

What you will do...

  • Work collaboratively to provide housing-focused resource and housing navigation services to people at risk of experiencing homelessness due to eviction or displacement.
  • Assist clients with accessing resources and benefits and making referrals; continue to engage with clients until program placement or permanent housing is obtained.
  • Provide advocacy for clients when they encounter barriers.
  • Assist in obtaining documentation required to access housing services ,such as ID, social security card, and income verification.
  • Assist in identifying appropriate housing and with completing housing applications.
  • Maintain complete client records in the information tracking system.
  • Establish and maintain positive, productive working relationships with landlords.
  • Attend team meetings, Case Conferencing, training workshops, and community meetings as needed.

  • Able and wiling to learn local social service and community resources
  • Highly proficient at organizing your time well and adapting to changing priorities
  • Sensitive to the needs of diverse, systemically disadvantaged populations and committed to building equitable systems
  • A willingness to listen sensitively to the needs and feelings of other people, even challenging individuals
  • Caring and compassionate, able to maintain a non-judgmental attitude
  • Able to maintain healthy boundaries and make mature decisions in terms of safety and client confidentiality
  • At least 21 years of age (required for liability insurance reasons)

You'll be most successful if you have...

  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • English/Spanish fluency (a plus)
  • Experience and proficiency at keeping accurate records in a computer system
  • Familiarity with harm reduction and housing first models of service delivery

This position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional schedule changes for community events. It will be primarily office-based, with occasional fieldwork transporting or meeting with clients or community partners.
