** This position will ideally be based in Austin, TX out of our headquarters office and be hybrid in office 2-days a week. Candidates based in other geographies across the U.S. will also be considered for a remote role. **

Job Summary: 
As a Supply Chain Support Specialist, you will be the front-line Supply Chain contact for our customers. This position is accountable for providing world class customer service and maintaining strong professional relationships with Thrive employees, suppliers, and manufacturers. They will demonstrate sound business acumen by knowing how to prioritize critical tasks. The position will promote synergy among all stakeholders of the global supply chain, including Legal, Support Operations, Business Development, Marketing, Finance, IT, and Medical Operations. The Supply Chain Customer Support Specialist will also be responsible for administration of the department’s ticketing system and intranet site.
Responsibilities:The Supply Chain Support Specialist is a critical point of contact within Thrive Pet Healthcare for our clinics as well as for suppliers doing business with or seeking to do business with the company and the entities it owns and operates. Essential functions and basic duties are outlined below:
  • Responsible for accepting, reviewing, processing, and maintenance of customer inquiries in a timely and accurate manner; expediting where appropriate
  • Fields inquiries from internal stakeholders and vendors; answers and handles inbound calls in a fast-paced environment
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams and clinics to provide consistent pathways to support supply chain operations
  • Manages requisitions and purchase orders as directed
  • Supports efforts to drive profitability through efficient utilization of products, equipment, and services
  • Provides administrative support for Supply Chain Management systems including but not limited to user profile requests and updates, system maintenance and audits
  • Thrive Hospital / Clinic Customer Support
  • Providing administrative support for the integration and setup of veterinary practices including the setup of new supplier accounts and/or transfer of existing accounts. For example: FedEx/UPS/USPS, merchant processing, banking, utilities, cable/telecom, security services, waste management, and distributors/suppliers
  • Assisting with negotiating pricing, general terms & conditions, delivery, and credit terms with suppliers
  • Responsible for accepting, reviewing, processing, and maintenance of customer inquiries in a timely and accurate manner; expediting where appropriate
  • Sharing and clarifying contract processes, conditions and details with management, business partners, and employees
  • Communicating with the Accounting, Legal, and Business Development teams and other key stakeholders to ensure proper paperwork is executed for new vendors and clinics timely and accurately
  • Verifying DEA and DVM licenses are current
  • Extract and analyze data to support the purchasing decision making process
  • Completing other responsibilities and projects as assigned
Key Qualifications:

Required Skills & Abilities:
• Able to organize, coordinate, and direct projects within and across departments, business units, and service lines
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Flexibility to meet changing business objectives and the ability to set priorities and work independently.
• Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and judgment.• Able to organize, coordinate, and direct projects within and across department, business units, and service lines
Qualifications & Experience:
• Experience with business development, category management, sales, purchasing, contracts management, supply chain operations, the veterinary industry or related fields
• Aptitude for managing vendor/supplier and internal/external customer relationships
• SAP/ERP experience preferred
• Must have strategic thinking, collaboration and change management capabilities
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Business or a related field with 3 years of relevant experience preferred• Years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
