Responsibilities

- Own and architect Thunk's backend infrastructure.
- Make critical decisions regarding technology, infrastructure, and architecture.
- Collaborate closely with founders and other team members to prioritize and develop features.
- Design and implement workflows for orchestrating AI agents and human-in-the-loop systems.
- Integrate data sources including email, cloud storage, and other third-party services.
- Enthusiasm for AI and the future of productivity and knowledge work.
- Generalist mindset with the ability to adapt to various technical challenges.
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in key principles of software engineering and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated experience with database design and management.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new languages, frameworks, and technologies.
- Ability and willingness to wear multiple hats in a technical environment
- Strong leadership skills with the capacity to guide technology choices and team-building efforts.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with AI/ML integration or development.
- This is an FTE-only position in the Seattle area with the expectation of in-the-office participation at least three days a week. Please do not apply if you wish to work remotely or if this does not feel like a good match with your needs.
