Job Summary

Provides customer service and sales support to the supplier base and internal company end-users within the context of large, complex contracts. Establish and maintain long-term professional relationships with internal and external customers.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide customer service regarding material and order status via phone and email.
  • Collect all pertinent information and coordinate opening new customer accounts.
  • Coordinate issue resolution between customer and appropriate internal staff members (contract administration, purchasing, finance, plant, etc.).
  • Maintain reports on critical inventory and coordinate with purchasing to avoid any shortages, in compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Monitor inventory turns and compare to the projected demand to link a new part to a master in order to provide the customer with an order date, or to advise purchasing to place master orders.
  • Manage inventory burn-downs.
  • Manage Tool Proof items lists (tracking usage, forecasts and common masters).
  • Investigate discrepancies in invoicing, and past due invoices; once resolution is reached, issue credits or new invoices.
  • Production planning and utilization of specific equipment.
  • Meet internal sales goals related to orders and customer service, and monitor own progress toward the goals.
  • Create, update, or maintain various reports regarding issues, orders, and sales results.
  • Complete order entry or quote preparation as needed/assigned.
  • Maintain customers’ part number database (BoM), and make necessary changes including new part set-up, activation, deletion, requirement changes, etc.
  • Rotate pager duty for AOG coverage.
  • Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes / Competencies.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of previous customer service experience
  • Solid math and computer skills beyond the basic level
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to resolve problems successfully; willingness to “go the extra mile” for the customer
  • Self-starting, dependable, accepts ownership, drives own goals/performance
  • Fluency in written and spoken French and English
  • Flexible in scheduling and available for overtime as needed

Preferred Requirements:

  • College degree
  • Experience in the aerospace industry, especially in a customer service, sales, or purchasing role
