The Nuveen Events Manager is responsible for the planning of Nuveen’s conference and sponsorships across the US Distribution organization. This role will project manage the execution of these events while interfacing with leadership, client marketing and distribution. The successful candidate will partner with the Nuveen Events lead and mentor the Nuveen events coordinator. This role will work closely with business leaders to understand and implement the event requirements within the US region. Strong project management skills are essential for executing comprehensive event logistics, including budgeting, venue selection, contract negotiation, catering, audiovisual arrangements, and onsite event support. As a detail oriented and deadline driven professional, the candidate will excel in a fast-paced setting, ensuring the delivery of outstanding events.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Successfully plan and execute conference and sponsorships across the US region
- Gain understanding of US go-to-market plan and manage events to ensure support of multiple channels across the US Distribution including Wealth, Institutional, Retirement and Insurance channels.
- Proactive and responsive approach to business partner requests at all levels
- Manage Cvent event budgets, including creation, reconciliation, and invoice processing
- Demonstrates a dedication to delivering a positive experience for attendees, business partners and team members
- Engage in all aspects of event planning and execution, from intake, planning, onsite management while managing event schedule, requirements, and timelines
- Dynamically manages workload and priorities on a day-to-day, hour-to-hour basis to ensure all project requests are met and effectively prioritized
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining high quality standards
- Prioritize success metrics/KPIs to ensure all relevant data is captured in Cvent and shared with Global Head of Events and measurement team
- Ability to delegate tasks to Nuveen events coordinator
Educational Requirements
- University (Degree) Preferred

- 3 Years Required; 5 Years Preferred

Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of demonstrated track record in conference management or project management
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of demonstrated track record in conference management or project management in financial services
- Strong knowledge of CVENT platform
- Demonstrated track record in booth design and management
- Experience with lead collection
- Experience with exhibitor services
- Creation of invitations and event communications
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Budget creation and management experience
- Ability to dynamically manage multiple projects at once, including frequent unexpected requests, with efficiency, urgency, and patience
- Ability to collaborate with partners to foster a positive and supportive environment
- Expectation of travel and extended hours while on site (20-30% travel depending on season)

Base Pay Range: $85,000/yr. - $120,000/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
