TIAG is Hiring an IT Configuration Specialist Near Moore, GA

TIAG has a new opportunity for an IT Configuration Specialist to join our team in support of multi-year research study with the US Army. This position will be primarily on-site at Fort Moore, GA.
TIAG is partnered with CoachMePlus, a provider of human performance management platform technology (i.e., athlete management system), to deliver that capability to the Department of Defense (DoD) as Warrior Performance Platform (WP2). We are part of a Congressionally mandated research effort to assess the effectiveness of commercial wearable biometric technology in support of Soldiers. We are seeking an IT Configuration Specialist to oversee the configuration, issuance, and management of a suite of wearable and hardware devices as part of the overarching research program effort. The multi-year research program will involve Soldier participants across multiple locations (Fort Eustis, Fort Moore, Fort Jackson), with an initial emphasis at Fort Moore, GA.
This work is anticipated to kick off in June of 2024.
IT Configuration Specialist Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site management of the wearables and other hardware devices utilized as part of the pilot study, to include smartwatches, sleep rings, chest straps, phones, and tablets.
  • Perform mobile device management (MDM) and other device configuration and monitoring tasks.
  • Lead the effort to initially provision and deploy devices at the start of each pilot phase.
  • Collect, inventory, and deprovision devices at the conclusion of each pilot phase.
  • Become proficient in the use and configuration of the human performance platforms and devices being used as part of the research effort.
  • Provide day-to-day facilitation of pilot study activities, including hardware and software troubleshooting and customer support services.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of researchers, scientists, engineers, and military personnel to evaluate the potential benefits and challenges of integrating wearable biosensor technology into Soldier operations.
  • Collaborate with technology partners and vendors to identify and mitigate the technical challenges of integrating wearable biometric devices into existing military systems and workflows.
  • Collaborate with software platform developers and support personnel to convey customer requirements.
  • Report directly to on-site project manager.
  • Contribute to weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc status reports and deliverables.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience in the information technology field
  • Experience with mobile device management and/or other central device management capabilities (e.g. Microsoft Intune)
  • Experience providing hardware and software troubleshooting support
  • Experience working with customers/stakeholders in-person and providing a positive support experience
  • Familiarity with US military customs, organization, and hierarchy
  • Willingness to become proficient with the human performance platforms and devices being used as part of the research effort
  • This position may necessitate a government security clearance in the future, so US or Naturalized Citizenship is required
Preferred Experience And Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with military personnel on a military installation, ideally at Fort Moore, GA and/or Fort Jackson, SC
  • Experience remotely managing Apple devices (e.g. iPhones, iPads)
  • Experience working with human performance technologies, such as wearable device technologies (Whoop, Garmin, Oura, Fitbit, etc.) and athlete management systems
Work Location and Travel:
  • Primary work location for the first year is Fort Moore, GA. For year two, the project is expected to shift emphasis to Fort Jackson, SC.
  • Periodic remote work / telework is anticipated
  • Occasional travel to other pilot locations or project team meetings may be required based on customer demand
  • Travel is reimbursable up to approved government thresholds
