Position Summary:Tidal Basin Group, the leading experts in disaster and emergency management consulting, has an opportunity for a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). The FP&A Director is extremely detail-oriented, possesses excellent leadership traits, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and is highly organized. This role will own several key workstreams related to corporate-level business and financial forecasting and planning. This is a highly visible position and will be a go-to for the CFO, Deputy CFO, and interface frequently with Treasury, Accounting and Business Operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
- FP&A Director will be an integral member of a team responsible for budgeting, forecasting, managing the full P&L and serving as an analytical and strategic business partner throughout the organization
- Oversee key corporate finance processes including working with various business and functional leaders to update revenue and cost forecast, and articulate explanations for variances against budgets and prior forecasts
- Develop analysis to provide relevant Executive-level guidance on business performance and areas of risk and opportunity
- Build relationships with senior operational partners across the business
- Provide financial leadership on ad hoc projects and new initiatives, including newly acquired business entities integration
- Monitor KPIs and progress to include recommendations for improvements
- Foster and cultivate team environment, support professional development and growth of the team
- Complete required ongoing training as directed
- Results oriented with the ability to achieve results in a constantly evolving environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Degree in accounting or finance. Master’s Degree is an advantage
- 8 years of experience including prior experience. Preferably in FP&A
- People management experience
- Federal Government accounting experience (FAR and CAS)
- Service industry and asset management experience preferred
- Results oriented with the ability to achieve results in a constantly evolving environment
- Strong skills in Excel, presentations, and computer systems, including systems implementation experience
- This position will be based in Alexandria, VA
- Hybrid, in office 3 days a week after onboarding
- Travel is estimated at 15%, as needed.
