SALARY RANGE: $95,000-$150,000/year based on experience & qualifications

LOCATION: Bellingham, WA, onsite

Job Summary:

The CAPEX Project Manager (PM) is responsible for developing, driving, managing, and maintaining projects throughout the entire construction project lifecycle, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards resulting in the safe and successful completion of our projects. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to lead and influence a diverse team without direct line responsibility, including technical experts and senior staff. The CAPEX PM is responsible for the safety of all assigned employees and subcontractors related to the project to ensure the safe execution of all activities, including strict adherence to company safety policies and programs through communication and enforcement. The CAPEX PM will manage a portfolio of small to large-sized projects.

This role requires the CAPEX PM to be on-site at the location of operations. This position is slated to begin in Bellingham, WA, but travel to other sites will be required as new projects develop.

Primary Job Functions:

• Operate and work within our Mission Driven Culture Core Values and Principles
• Drive the development of and execution of project plans including detailed work breakdown structure, schedule, resources, contingencies and risks from project initiation to commissioning
• Lead team by supplying context on project objectives and timelines
• Ensure that all technical, operational, regulatory, business, or other requirements per the project plan are met for permit and inspection compliance
• Analyze project performance and take action to correct deficiencies and resolve problems
• Comfortable making decisions independently and implementing strategy
• Communicate status, issues, and risks to project stakeholders and adjust plans as necessary to accomplish projects
• Able to communicate needs for project support to ensure deadlines are met (including but not limited to: staffing requirements, tools, supplies, etc.)

Additional Job Functions:

• Assist in hiring subcontractors/vendors, including negotiations, sub-agreements, material agreements, and purchase orders
• Research, document and refine project scope, business case, and requirements for assigned projects
• Develop collaboration with key engineering partners
• Plan, execute and track the progress of projects, in accordance with budget and schedule
• Ensure all sites are compliant with state and federal regulations, complete proper documentation for new projects and ensure permitting is up to date
• This role may have direct reports (dependent on staffing needs, project size, and overall experience level)

Basic Qualifications:

• Highly motivated, well organized, and shows professional initiative
• Ability to travel as needed for operational direction and support to various locations
• Demonstrates the ability to set and achieve goals and objectives
• Demonstrates experience managing complex projects
• Demonstrates experience coordinating staff or contractors
• Demonstrates development of project plans by collaboration with diverse stakeholders
• Demonstrates experience with sourcing and procurement of contractors & materials
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hazwoper 40 and OSHA 10 certification
• LEAN concepts in practice
• Hazardous chemical understanding related to use, storage, and disposal
• Experience handling, training, or operating heavy equipment, tools, and related machinery

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Work is performed within Tidal Vision’s warehouse. This position will be expected and required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas and while on-site. Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required. Candidate must be able to walk, bend, twist, crouch, kneel, and move freely with minimal limitation. Hiring is conditional upon background check.
