TCS is seeking Direct Support Professional's to join our Adult Services Programs located in:

• Farmingdale IRA (Nassau County)
• Kings Park IRA (Suffolk County)
• Richmond Hill Day Habilitation (Queens County)

Positions Available Include:

• Full Time, Part Time, Per Diem, Overnight, Day Shift, Evening Shift

Responsibilities: ·

• Assist/monitor/teach individuals with preparation of daytime activities; encourage good personal hygiene
• Meet with individuals (as needed) on an individual basis to discuss concerns, problems
• Supervise individuals in on and off site activities
• Handle emergency situations appropriately
• Utilize crisis interventions when necessary
• Complete required documentation
• Provide first-aid assistance to all individuals and assist in the follow through on medical needs for individuals
• Assure individuals follow routines
• Performs any other duties as assigned by the Manager, Asst. Manager, and Administration
• ·Report suspected abuse & neglect to supervisor immediately (within one hour)
• Transport individuals to and from community outings

Requirements:

• Valid NYS Driver’s License (for FT positions)
• Minimum Education of High School Diploma/GED
• Experience with Special Needs Population Preferred
