Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: Four or more years of experience in a manufacturing field preferred.
Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, blueprints, and operator manuals. Experience in mechanical and electrical assembly, and knowledge of hydraulic systems and assembly.
Problem-Solving: Proficient in problem-solving and troubleshooting methods.
Equipment Operation: Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
Physical Dexterity: Manual dexterity, mechanically inclined with good eye/hand coordination. Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs. alone.
Physical Endurance: Ability to stand, kneel, and squat while using hands to complete assembly tasks, move under power units, and work overhead while on a mechanic's creeper.
Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as needed to meet production schedules.

Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Assembly Technician, where you will engage in a variety of tasks to install our advanced mowing equipment onto tractors and trucks. This role involves mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assembly, including the installation of framework, booms, hydraulic tanks, control valves, hoses, fittings, and operator controls. You will also work on mower head assembly and the installation of various options such as radios, strobe lights, and backup alarms. The work will be completed both individually and collaboratively with other team members. Key Responsibilities
Tractor and Truck Preparation: Prepare tractors and trucks for mount kit installation, including moving tires and installing Lexan safety windows.
Option Installation: Install sales order options including radios, strobe lights, and backup alarms.
Mechanical Assembly: Assemble mount kits onto tractors and trucks using blueprints, schematics, and operator manuals, performing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assemblies.
Equipment Assembly: Assemble mowing equipment onto power units, including booms, draft beams, and various mower heads.
Material Handling: Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, overhead hoists, and pallet jacks to move and position frameworks and other components.
Documentation and Analysis: Analyze bills of materials and parts manuals for accuracy, completing correction sheets as needed. Accurately record work order information and inventory transactions.
Testing and Inspection: Perform testing and final inspections of completed units using checklists to ensure quality and functionality.
Collaboration with Engineering: Assist Engineering with new mount kit installations and associated documentation.
Field Service Support: Provide technical service and possibly assist dealers with field service questions.
