Tiger Paw Academy is Hiring a Youth Soccer Coach Near Jersey, NJ

TPA is hiring! We are seeking a passionate and experienced youth soccer coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and safe learning environment for young athletes to develop their soccer skills and grow as individuals. As a coach, you will be responsible for leading our soccer enrichment programs at several schools in Hudson County and beyond, organizing practices, developing game strategies, and leading teams in league play. You will also be expected to foster positive relationships with players, parents, school directors, and other coaches in the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate training programs and practice plans that focus on skill development, team building, and sportsmanship.
  • Organize and lead team practices, scrimmages, and games.
  • Develop and implement game strategies and tactics that maximize the team's potential.
  • Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback to help players improve their skills.
  • Encourage and promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive attitudes among players.
  • Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on the team's progress and address any concerns or issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest coaching techniques and best practices.
  • Ensure that all team members are in compliance with league rules and regulations.
  • Foster positive relationships with other coaches, referees, and members of the community.

Qualifications:

  • Prior coaching experience, preferably with youth soccer teams.
  • Prior experience working with children preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of soccer skills and strategies with a soccer playing background preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes to reach their full potential.
  • While our hub is mostly centered around Hudson County (Jersey City and Hoboken) applicants should, on occasion, be able and willing to travel up to 45 mins one way to classes.
  • Availability must include a minimum of 4 weekday mornings - afternoons.
  • Must be fun, energetic, patient, and attentive
  • Ability to work well with parents, other coaches, and league officials.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

What to expect!

  • Starting hourly rate at $30/hour, or $35/hour based on education and experience
  • Immediate scheduling to shadow coaches and attend trainings
  • Scheduling based on day/time availability
  • Consistent communication and support from our operations and coaching staff
