Where would you step in?
As a valuable member of our Bridge team, you will provide comprehensive bridge design services to our clients. You will work out of either our Middletown, CT or Shelton, CT office with an optional hybrid approach to your work location. You will work in a hybrid remote/office with flexible Fridays in the summer.

Our Transportation Team and Projects
At nearly 100 professional engineers strong and recent recipients of multiple ACEC Engineering Excellence and ASCE Project Awards, our senior technical and project management leaders have earned an outstanding reputation with private, state, and local government clients. We provide planning, design, and construction phase services for rehabilitations, replacements, and construction of new bridges and other transportation structures. 
 
What will you be doing?
You will play a key role in designing, building, and inspecting new bridges as well as renovating, evaluating, and designing existing bridges and support structures. You will also prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, reports, and correspondence. You will also be asked to observe construction, help with shop drawings and submittals, and create as-builts and record plans. 
 
What do you need?
You will need a BS in civil engineering, with a focus on structural engineering, along with 1-4 years experience working with ConnDOT and municipalities on the design of bridges. A MS in structural/bridge design is preferred. You will need experience using AutoCAD, Microstation, and bridge analysis software. Experience with 3DS Max, SketchUp, InfraWorks and familiarity with other visualization software is advantageous.

The salaries are determined based on internal equity and market analysis and will vary based on the candidate’s skill and experience; the salary range for this position is $74,000-$93,000.
