Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.
Our frontline teams interact with images, video, text related to everyday life, but they can also include (but are not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.
Hence, it is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content on a daily basis.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Risk Analysis Team, Investigations Team, and Core Analysis Team on a day to day basis.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk prevention and detection strategy.
  • Collaborate with T&S experts to identify core metrics and work collectively to continuously optimize systems, processes and tools for improved risk forecasting and mitigation.
  • Analyze incident trends, systems, and data to drive enhancements in risk prevention and detection across Trust and Safety. Provide recommendations for process, policy, and product improvements and lead the team of analysts conducting Root Cause Analysis and Post-Mordems.
  • Oversee proactive investigations in real-time, liaise with relevant stakeholders, and drive short and mid-term solutions for challenging Trust & Safety concerns.
  • Coordinate with global cross-functional teams, including Public Policy, Legal, Product, and Engineering, to develop effective solutions.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members, and create individual development plans to support their professional growth.
Qualifications
Qualifications and skills:
  • Prior experience in Trust & Safety, particularly in risk detection and prevention, is essential.
  • Proven leadership experience in a senior position within a top technology firm or equivalent, showcasing strategic thinking, agility in responding, and sound judgment. Demonstrated ability to manage both senior contributors and managers effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively under high pressure situations, with strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Deep respect for other cultures and a profound empathy for users. Eager to pioneer new approaches within a rapidly growing and evolving tech company.
  • In-depth knowledge of risks specific to social media platforms, a strong interest in addressing safety issues, and experience in designing proactive strategies to reduce harm.
  • Capability to handle both deep-focused work and agility to adapt in a high-tempo environment, responding to day-to-day challenges of the role.
  • Resilience and commitment to self-care, serving as a role model for the teams you manage.

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $200000 - $350000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
