About the Team:
The Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team’s work spans across a broad and diverse range of functions and workstreams, including government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships; and philanthropy. The mission of the Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team is to prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok and to promote a political, legislative, and regulatory environment that supports growth and innovation for our business.
The Federal Lobbying Coordinator is responsible for supporting federal team initiatives and projects including lobbying disclosures and compliance and facilitating and coordinating a robust engagement strategy for TikTok, with a focus on identifying and building strategic relationships with federal government relations stakeholders. They will work closely with public policy and cross-functional teams to support programs and opportunities to empower the TikTok community to respond to emerging policy trends, and ensure seamless project implementation. As the Federal Lobbying Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing all federal lobbying compliance and reporting;
- Track relevant Federal legislation;
- Monitor legislative hearings relevant to tech policy;
- Draft memorandums and documents related to Federal alegislation and tech-related updates;
- Attend tech-related events;
- Assist the Public Policy team in reaching policymakers;
- And generally working with the Public Policy team to advance the goals of the company.
Qualifications Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Affairs, Government, Public Affairs, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with federal lobbying compliance.
- 3 years of experience in Public Policy or Government roles.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Affairs, Government, Public Affairs, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Extensive experience in Public Policy or Government roles. Strong background in internet policy and related issues
- Ability to understand and navigate the business implications of public policy.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience in planning and executing events of varying scales is a plus.
- Outstanding communication and writing skills, with the ability to distill complex policy issues into clear, compelling messages, while maintaining strong prioritization and multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven problem-solving skills, demonstrating exceptional judgment and discretion, with a track record of staying focused and calm under pressure.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.

Job Information:【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is 113270 - 187200 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
