Tillamook Country Smoker is Hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk Near Beaverton, OR
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt and shipment of goods within our distribution center. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse operations and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Assist with receiving and processing incoming shipments in a timely and accurate manner
- Verify product quantities and quality against delivery documents
- Label and store goods according to warehouse management system (WMS) and inventory management procedures
- Pick and pack orders with precision and care
- Operate reach truck and other warehouse equipment as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Utilize inventory system to manage inventory and track orders
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure seamless operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve shipping and receiving issues
- Meet shipping deadlines and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
Experience:
- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role, preferably in a warehouse setting
- Knowledge of MRP and AS400 systems
- Ability to operate reach trucks and other warehouse equipment
- Experience with warehouse management systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Experience with order picking and packing procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
