What You Will Do:

  • Be responsible for directing on-premise data center and cloud infrastructure and end-user technical support services through the entire lifecycle, including planning, design, policies, controls, budget, implementation, and proactive maintenance and support.
  • Provide vision, leadership, and direction to IT staff responsible for all IT Infrastructure and Operations functions in a 24/7 food production environment, including IT service desk support, information and data security, connectivity, and business continuity.
  • Safeguard company data on servers, PCs, and databases against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure through the use of hardware, software, and policy.
  • Have a strong desire to understand the business, products, market, and customers that TCCA and its IT department serve.

A Day in the Life:

  • Providing technical leadership and strategic direction to the teams responsible for managing the infrastructure and operations support services that enable business operations and processes that keep applications and infrastructure safe, reliable, and available.
  • Leading the IT Infrastructure and Operations department in operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, and organizing and negotiating resource allocation.
  • Overseeing negotiation and administration of vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
  • Directing IT Infrastructure and Operations staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and performance management.
  • Through a consultative approach, establishing and maintaining business relationships with the organization’s senior leaders, department managers, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
  • Facilitating preparation of project plans and proposals, outlining project objectives, IT requirements, and staffing requirements for proposed systems.
  • Maintaining business continuity and performance of corporate and OT networks and systems. 
  • Overseeing the design and implementation of information systems that support the on-premises and cloud-based enterprise infrastructure of the organization.
  • Preparing, implementing, and executing IT budget, including developing business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Controlling and optimizing costs through budgeting, forecasting, negotiation, and design review.
  • Collaborating with functional management teams and key business stakeholders to evaluate, design, develop, and implement systems for improving business systems performance, availability, reporting, and ease of day-to-day task management.
  • Continuing partnership with Tillamook’s 3rd party security vendor FRSecure to develop and maintain an overall leadership and organizational structure for the existing Information Security program.
  • Providing expertise and strategic risk guidance for IT projects, including evaluation and recommendation of technical controls.
  • Directing the development, maintenance, and publishing of up-to-date security policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Evaluating potential security breaches, coordinate responses, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Providing leadership to staff and external resources in support of established goals and objectives, improved efficiencies, and problem resolution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • BS degree in an IT, computer science, or engineering field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 10 years of experience leading a team of IT infrastructure and operations support professionals. 
  • Experience in a 24/7 automated food production environment is preferred.
  • Experience designing and implementing infrastructure that supports business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Innovative, strategic, and logical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed leader of people.
  • Ability to interface professionally and establish business relationships at all levels and functions of the organization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, and an effective facilitator and communicator.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in accordance with organizational objectives and timelines.
  • Ability to train and lead various company resources in meeting project support deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience managing testing for large system implementations with interfaces and managing the upstream and downstream workflows.
  • Experience developing and executing on project milestones using Agile and/or waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with proficiency in MS Visio and MS Excel.
