ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Works under the direction of the Director of Business Diversity & Compliance to monitor diversity spending performance and ensure compliance with the agreed contractual performance standards. Develops, monitors, and conducts compliance reviews to ensure internal processes comply with federal, state and local regulations. Implements monitoring and measuring tools to ensure contractual requirements and deadlines are met. Tracks, monitors and reviews all requests for information, quotes, and/or proposals received from the Purchasing service center. Works closely with internal/external customers to resolve compliance issues and concerns. Prepares a variety of correspondence, memoranda, and other written documents by utilizing various computer applications. Provides monthly divisional reports on MWBE performance to Director of Business Diversity & Compliance. Prepares quarterly and other various reports as required. Reviews B2GNow audit reports provided by the outsource vendor for all the services rendered. Tracks and monitors complaints received from various customers. Analyzes and evaluates benchmarks and performance reports to identify possible discrepancies. Keeps abreast and conducts research of data, trends, organizational processes and practices, existing and new regulations. Monitors changes in Title VI regulations and prepares materials to assist in conducting annual Title VI training for all City employees. Attends meetings and conducts trainings by traveling to various locations throughout the City.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
1. Reviews certified and registered vendor for matching to opportunities.
2. Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) which may be assigned.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with management, staff members and the general public. Requires the ability to operate general office equipment such as a personal computer and telephone. Requires the ability to operate an automobile to travel to various locations throughout the City.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Majority of work is performed in an office except during office visits and meetings. Some evening and weekend shifts may be required. Travel to various locations throughout the City is required.
Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration, Finance, Computer Science or a closely related field and four (4) years of professional experience in contract compliance, auditing and internal control applications; or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Must have working experience of software programs including Microsoft Office applications. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license as a condition of continued employment. Professional experience in information systems is preferred.
