Time Out Group Plc is Hiring a HR Assistant North America Near New York, NY


Title: HR Assistant, North America

Location: New York, US / 2 days in office minimum

Department: HR

Reporting to: Senior HR Business Partner

Salary: $75,000 bens

Role overview

The Human Resources Assistant will be part of a small but effective global HR team of 7 and is responsible for overseeing multiple functions of the HR department for North America including benefits, payroll, compliance, 401k and if experienced then some employee relations.

We are looking for someone who is well-versed on best HR practices, and is enthusiastic about bringing that knowledge to new and innovative programs to the North America team.

Responsibilities

  • Create strong relationships with Time Out employees, including department leadership, in order to understand employee needs, goals, and benchmarks.

  • Support the Senior Business HR business partner, North America in managing employee relations and management training.

  • Support system and tools implementation - we are launching some great initiatives this year and want someone who is keen to support and take the lead on HR projects where capable.

  • Manage payroll administration and utilize reporting tools with great accuracy.

  • Partner with our benefits brokers and 401k provider to manage our plans and ensure Time Out is in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

  • On-board all US new hires following process and ensuring all due diligence is

  • Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to the senior leadership team.

  • Create original and fun employee engagement programs, and partner with the Office in order to execute this initiatives.

  • Support remote staff in regional cities including Boston, Chicago, and Los Angeles/San Francisco, ensuring their employee experience is unparalleled.

Qualifications

  • 2 Human Resources and payroll experience

  • Strong knowledge of New York state and local labor laws. National experience is a plus!

  • Proven ability in pulling reports from various HR tools.

  • Organizational expert: If you love color-coding your closet, we want you on our team!

  • Eager to support staff in their Time Out experience, and brainstorm ways for their experience to be even stronger.

  • Strong communication skills, including e-mail, phone, and in-person communication.

  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in MS Suite (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word)
