The Sales Associate provides a positive customer experience to patrons in a friendly and courteous manner. Manages the cash register and balances accounts at the end of the day in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Scans items into the computer system and processes credit card payments using the point-of-sale system.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Basic mathematic skills to calculate money and in making change.

Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Displays a professional, positive attitude, and works well with others and in teams.

Ability to work unsupervised, independently, or in team settings in a fast-paced environment.

Handles challenging situations with professionalism while exercising good judgment.

Must be dependable, flexible, and punctual.

May be required to work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Familiarity with technology: Operating a cash register, keypad, computer and other related equipment, software programs, and applications

Cashiering experience in a retail or convenience store is preferred.

Conditions for Employment:

Physical Job Requirements:

The Sales Associate must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Essential functions include moving about the store for extended periods of time, which may include crouching down, kneeling, or crawling in performing

Must be able to move, lift, carry, slide, etc. objects up to 50 lbs.

Ability to tolerate recurring exposure to outdoor conditions.

Ability to tolerate occasional exposure to cleaning supplies, salt, solutions, chemicals, spill absorbents, etc.

• Ability to tolerate exposure of walk-in cooler temperatures of 34 degrees and freezer sections in restocking merchandise.
