Senior Engineer

As a Senior Engineer on the DevOps team, you will meaningfully contribute to the software that churches rely on every day by supporting existing features and helping develop new ones.

Primary Responsibilities of the Role

• Craft code in a way that meets our Tithe.ly coding standards and makes our products and services flexible, stable, and maintainable.

• Take ownership of code to ensure quality and efficiency across the team and organization.

• Build key backend features, integrating with internal and external APIs, end-to-end testing, code reviews and system planning.

• Attack tech debt with a vengeance.

• Offer novel solutions to solve our complex and evolving problems.

Technical Qualifications

Required:

• 5 years of experience as a DevOps engineer

• Strong proficiency in networking

• Proven track record of working independently

• Kubernetes proficiency, including: deploying clusters, applications and configurations with a terraform IaC framework.

• Terraform (or OpenTofu) proficiency, including: ability to create, test and deploy entire stacks in code.

Preferred:

• Experience as a network engineer

• Experience with postgres compatible database administration

• Experience working with Google/Azure cloud 

• Kubernetes or Terraform certification

• Experience working with Google/Azure cloud 

Office Requirements:

• We are a fully distributed team (100% remote) with travel required 1-2 times per year.

• A stable work environment with designated workspace and access to high-speed internet.
