Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Escrow Officer to join our team. As an Escrow Officer, you will be responsible for facilitating real estate transactions by ensuring all necessary documents and funds are properly processed and disbursed. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the integrity of the escrow process and providing exceptional customer service to clients.
Duties:
- Manage the entire escrow process from opening to closing, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Review contracts, mortgage servicing documents, loan origination paperwork, and other relevant documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare escrow instructions, settlement statements, and other necessary paperwork
- Coordinate with lenders, title companies, real estate agents, and other parties involved in the transaction to gather required information and resolve any issues that may arise
- Conduct 10-key typing to accurately input financial data and calculations
- Handle the disbursement of funds in accordance with established procedures
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communicate updates to clients as needed
-Excellent communication with lenders, brokers, clients, realtors and employees
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a similar role as an Escrow Officer or related position
- Strong knowledge of contract and real estate transaction processes
- Familiarity with mortgage servicing, loan origination, and financial services
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of fair housing regulations and credit analysis is a plus
- Familiarity with loan processing procedures is preferred
