Position Summary

• The Meal Services Attendant assists in a variety of food service functions relating to patient tray-line, taking patient orders, meal tray delivery and collection;
• ware washing (dishes, pots and pans); cleans and stocks assembly area and nursing nourishment areas with appropriate foods and supplies;

records temperatures and other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Demonstrates appropriate hand hygiene practices.
• Capable of communicating effectively with patients, visitors and other hospital personnel.
• Knowledge of department policies and procedures.
• Wears an approved uniform.
• Demonstrates knowledge of HACCP Standards.
• Demonstrates knowledge of handling soiled and clean dishes.
• Demonstrates proper procedures for meal tray assembly and delivery.
• Documents refrigerator temperatures daily Stocks pantry kitchen according to par levels.
• Rotates stock using FIFO.
• Respectful use of all hospital equipment.
• Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives.
• Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure.
• Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Work Experience

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and write English preferred.
