Position Summary: Our property management company is looking for an experienced, deadline-driven professional Painter with great attention to detail and excellent time management skills. Our Painter will be responsible for painting apartments and common areas for several residential properties in the North and West Suburban area. Reliable transportation is necessary.


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of prior painting experience in a fast-paced, professional environment
  • Prior experience in a multifamily housing community a plus
  • Experience with painting, patching, hanging drywall, and sanding surfaces
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent time management skills in order to complete projects on time and within budget
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Availability to work Saturdays
  • A proactive approach, exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate using clear, professional English
  • Knowledge of all applicable health and safety standards
  • Some computer knowledge
  • This position requires frequent walking, standing, stretching and bending
  • Willingness to perform all duties in a manner that is:
    • Professional and ethical.
    • Consistent with company practices, policies, and procedures.
    • In compliance with applicable Legal and Fair Housing regulations.

Position Responsibilities

  • Prepare area and surface for painting which includes, masking, hanging drywall, cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, caulking and covering nearby objects when needed
  • Take pride in your work and ensure that all paint jobs are completed neatly and by required deadline
  • Clean areas thoroughly and remove supplies and equipment at the completion of all projects
  • Assist with and maintain inventory of tools, paint, and materials
  • Store and dispose of paint as directed by your supervisor
  • Report unsafe workplace conditions to the management office
  • Follow all safety guidelines with respect to the use and disposal of hazardous chemicals
  • Any other tasks as directed by the Director of Maintenance & Facilities
