TMC Transportation has an immediate full-time opening for a Safety Assistant working out of our office in Gaston, South Carolina.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Provide support for the Safety Managers as well as the Vice President of Safety.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor drive cam events to identify coaching opportunities with drivers.
- Work closely with Safety Managers to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Communicate safety protocols to prevent incidents, accidents, and injuries.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree and/or equivalent work experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word & Excel)
- Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment and tolerate stress.
- Ability to plan and organize, attention to detail, problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Must be able to sit and use telephone and computer, simultaneously, for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to speak and hear clearly in a high-volume telephone environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
