TMC USA SE is Hiring a Manufacturing Engineer - (2nd Shift) Near Shepherdsville, KY

Title - Manufacturing Engineer

Experience - 3 Years

Location - Shepherdsville, Kentucky, United States

Shift - 2nd shift (3:30 PM - 1:30 AM), Monday - Thursday

As a Manufacturing Engineer within our automotive client, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of their production processes. Utilizing your expertise in AutoCAD and manufacturing principles, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing manufacturing processes to meet quality, cost, and production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize AutoCAD and other relevant software to design and optimize manufacturing processes, layouts, and workflow systems.
  2. Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability and efficiency of proposed manufacturing processes & collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, and quality assurance to ensure alignment with product specifications and standards.
  3. Evaluate and select appropriate manufacturing equipment, tools, and technologies to enhance production efficiency and quality. And coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the procurement and integration of manufacturing equipment.
  4. Develop and implement equipment maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  5. Continuous Improvement - identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction through analysis of production data and performance metrics like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes and eliminate waste.
  6. Quality Assurance - Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
  7. Perform process validations, capability studies, and risk assessments to ensure manufacturing processes are robust and reliable.
  8. Investigate and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  9. Documentation and Compliance - Create and maintain manufacturing process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and equipment manuals.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and welding.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
