Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of TMG Wall Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial health of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial insights to senior management. This role is crucial in supporting our growth and ensuring the financial efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management:
• Oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Accounting Operations:
• Supervise accounting staff and ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Maintain and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Conduct regular audits and reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
• Oversee and manage the company's tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes.
• Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.
• Strategic Financial Planning:
• Provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.
• Advise on investment activities and provide strategies for the company’s financial growth.
• Prepare financial reports for senior management, including analysis of financial trends and forecasts.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze budget variances and provide explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Work closely with department heads to ensure budget adherence and financial accountability.
• Relationship Management:
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
• Manage banking relationships and negotiate financing arrangements as needed.
• Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a controller or similar senior financial role.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Familiarity with construction industry accounting preferred.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and management.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
