TMI Coatings, Inc. is Hiring a Field Operations Manager Near Paul, MN
TMI Coatings, Inc. (TMI) is an industrial painting and restoration contractor headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota since 1985. Our concrete coatings division completes restoration work, and our industrial painters apply paint in various settings, including food and beverage, grain production facilities, and water and wastewater facilities. TMI is looking for a skilled leader to work with a competent team and oversee the company’s shop and field operations, including developing a strategy to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- 7 years in a leadership role related to the industrial coatings industry
- Knowledge of concrete and steel surface preparation methods and equipment
- Experience in the application of coatings on concrete and steel substrates
- Knowledge and experience with various product applications, including epoxies, urethanes, and acrylic coating systems
- Bachelor’s in operations management, construction management, business administration, or similar
Responsibilities
- Read and comprehend project scope documents, including specifications and plans
- Supervision and field training of crew members
- Interaction with customers
- Travel to job sites regularly and overnight
- Manage the TMI shop to maintain equipment so it operates efficiently for the field crews
- Allocate resources (people and equipment) effectively
- Project manage assigned jobs
- Identify wastefulness and areas for improvement
- Coach, counsel, discipline, and reward employees
- Assist field team with solving problems promptly to minimize downtime
- Plan for future work (ensure materials ordered, equipment in working condition or order)
Ability to obtain
- DOT medical card, CDL
- Pass a physical and drug test
- NACE-Certified, OSHA-30 Hour, SSPC certifications, Supervisor/Competent Person for Deleading of Industrial Structures, SSPC Quality Control Supervisor, QCS
