Job SummaryWe are looking for a compassionate and skilled Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to provide quality care to patients in a variety of healthcare settings. The LNA will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RN) and healthcare staff to assist patients with daily activities, monitor vital signs, and ensure their overall comfort. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility.
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Report any changes in a patient’s condition or behavior to the RN or healthcare team.
- Provide basic care to patients, including repositioning, transferring, and helping with toileting.
- Monitor patients' nutritional intake and ensure meals are served on time.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
- Support patients' emotional and psychological well-being through companionship and conversation.
- Assist with routine medical procedures and specimen collection under the direction of the RN.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and document any significant observations or events.
- Follow infection control protocols and other safety guidelines.
- Provide care and support to patients with chronic or acute illnesses, injuries, or disabilities.
- Assist in transporting patients to various areas within the healthcare facility, as needed.
- LNA certification from an accredited program and current state licensure as a Licensed Nursing Assistant.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR certification is required (must be up-to-date).
- Strong understanding of basic patient care practices and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Physical stamina and strength to assist patients with mobility and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude toward patients.
- Attention to detail and the ability to observe and report patient conditions accurately.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Previous experience working as an LNA in a hospital, long-term care facility, or home health setting.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
- Ability to handle difficult situations with patience and professionalism.
