TNP Inc. is Hiring a Senior CAD Technician - Transportation Near Fort Worth, TX
The Senior CAD Technician is part of the Fort Worth Transportation design team involved in a variety of public sector projects including public infrastructure improvements (TxDOT) (i.e., drainage, water, etc). The position is a lead technical support role in the Fort Worth office. Responsibilities/Expectations: Responsibilities require being actively engaged in plan production and design of projects. More specifically, responsibilities include:
Using established CAD standards to prepare electronic drawings from development to plan submittal.
Oversight of CAD systems management, refinement and evolution of standards and workflows
Organizing and scheduling your own work, and at times, the work of other team members to accomplish project goals within established budgets and schedules
Coordination with engineers and other design team members
Plotting and assembling construction plans
Position Requirements: At a minimum, candidates must meet the following educational, professional, and personal requirements: Education/Certification
High School graduate or GED required
Post-high school technical coursework, certification or degree in computer drafting/design or related field preferred
Professional
Responsive and results oriented in service to clients
8-10 years of civil CAD experience and understanding on a variety of projects including public infrastructure improvements (emphasis on MicroStation ORD 3D Corridor development)
Proficient in the latest version of Microstation/ORD, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel
Demonstrated ability to develop solid working relationships with other team members
Ability to quickly adapt to and adopt new CAD standards and procedures
Commitment to quality in the design and presentation of drawings
