Job Description: We’re looking for a highly skilled financial analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing financial data and developing profit-focused action plans, including trend forecasting and variance monitoring. They should also provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve the financial performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Provide support in month end closing process, including general ledger account analysis, reconciliation and preparation of adjusting entries
2. Provide monthly internal financial statements and analysis which meet agency or programmatic needs: revenue and expense reports, functional expense reports, financial position report and cash flow statement.
3. Assist in annual budget process, and analyze and Investigate budget vs. actual variances on monthly financial reports
4. Pre and Post Award Grant Administration.
5. Experienced in government contracts and grant management including contract auditing and billing, responsible for maximizing contract billing and meeting all funding and source auditing requirements.
6. Monitors contract budgets, making financial projections based on current spending rates and expected future changes. Allowable costs are billed, and modifications are requested for unforeseen expenses.
7. Worked with Grants such as HRSA, DPHS, APSS, CSBG, OCAP, CDD and Los Angeles/Orange County Prop 10-First 5 LA grants, LA Care, private foundation.
8. Reviews and approves invoices and documentation for all subcontractors and sub-recipients in manner within GAAP guidelines.

Education and Qualifications

• Education:  Bachelors in in Business Administration
• 5 years of experience in Non-Profit and Healthcare
• Software: SAGE, Excel, Donor Perfect, Word.
• Excellent reporting, presenting and communication skills.
• Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
• Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments
• Experience in financial forecasting and trend analytics.
• Bilingual Preferred
