TOGETHER for Youth is Hiring a Facilities Coordinator Near Albany, NY

Job Description 

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible to perform and oversee maintenance services, repairs and construction in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, plastering and HVAC across all Berkshire Farm Center locations. The position will be based in the capital region but will require occasional travel within NYS to support other Berkshire locations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of Berkshire Farm owned and leased locations to detect and resolve problems quickly and efficiently
  • Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences to present to administration, supervisors and other relevant staff
  • Oversee service contracts and vendors for all agency locations
  • Supervise Berkshire facilities staff for assigned locations
  • Assist with office relocation efforts to ensure smooth transition
  • Work with VP facilities Operations on development of projects and capital budget requests
  • Assist with agency fleet vehicle management to include delivery and relocation of vehicles
  • Response to maintenance emergencies inside and outside of normal hours to ensure client and staff safety, and protection of agency assets
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management system (CMMS) to record and track preventive and corrective maintenance work orders
  • Ensure facilities are compliant with state and federal regulations
  • Performs all work in accordance with established health and safety procedures
  • Other work related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED required. Vocational or technical qualification highly preferred.
  • Previous supervision experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building or mechanical trades (Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, fire systems, HVAC)
  • Keen attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of life safety systems and building codes preferred
  • Must be a well-organized, detail and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter
  • Ability to manage changing priorities
  • Must be able to work as part of a team or individually with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Position requires some travel
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Will be required to work on call hours and respond to emergencies on a rotating schedule.

Pay

$ 60,000 - $64,000 based on education and experience
