Toledo Preparatory Academy is Hiring a School Psychologist - Part-Time - SY 24-25 Near Toledo, OH

About the Team

ACCEL Schools is seeking highly-qualified Part-Time School Psychologists in Toledo, Ohio for our 2024-2025 school year! ACCEL Schools is a K-12 public charter school management organization (CMO) serving students across the United States in brick-and-mortar, virtual, and hybrid school settings. We focus on improving academic outcomes of students regardless of geographic location or socioeconomic factors.

The Licensed School Psychologist conducts comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations; consults with school personnel and parents regarding planning, implementing and evaluating individual and group interventions; and functions as a member of the building-based Student Support Team in providing services to students. This is a virtual position, but in-office work will be required throughout the year.

About the Opportunity

  • Conduct virtual psychoeducational evaluations for students K through 12 according to federal, state, and school guidelines
  • Familiarity with evaluation tools
  • Complete Initial Evaluation and Re-evaluations
  • Complete Assessment Plans, RORs/REEDs, and FBAs
  • Provide virtual administration of cognitive and achievement assessments following best practice tele-assessment standards
  • Conduct other portions of the evaluation, including interviews and virtual observations, adaptive behavior, social/emotional behavior, and executive functioning assessments
  • Integrate assessment results into a comprehensive evaluation report and submit paperwork as needed
  • Present evaluation findings at ETR meetings and collaborate with school teams regarding eligibility determination
  • Excellent knowledge of principles and evidence-based practices
  • Participating in training and meetings as needed
  • Attend ETR/RETR meetings to discuss results of assessments
  • Maintain case rosters for all school psychologists
  • Participate as a member of the MTSS/RTI
  • Hold reoccurring meetings with each school psychologist to ensure compliancy
  • Plan and hold professional development and training for staff
  • Supervise a team of school psychologists

About You

  • Master’s Degree or Ed.S degree
  • Professional Ohio License
  • Proficiency with computers and online documentation skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentiality
  • Demonstrates a reliable, dependable, and trustworthy work ethic
  • Ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations
  • Ability to make sound judgments after all available information has been gathered or communicated
  • Demonstrates a mature attitude and insight into matters affecting department, self and / or company welfare
  • Demonstrated leadership and management ability
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks to meet deadlines consistently
  • Ability to learn new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study, professional training, and from more senior team members
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a team
  • Understanding and ability to manage confidential information
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
