Tommy Express Car Wash is Hiring a Lead Associate Near Olathe, KS
The Lead Associate responsibilities include managing the overall guest experience, team supervision and management, overseeing wash purchase transactions – including managing cash – and monitoring the performance of the equipment. Ultimately, this role is responsible for ensuring all aspects of your shift run smoothly and effectively.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensure a consistently great customer experience for all guests and the highest wash quality.
Manage and oversee shift operations and align practices to the company’s vision, principles, and policies.
Inspire others and promote a dynamic, strong team through effective coaching and supervision, and provide feedback to team members as needed.
Maintain a beautiful, clean, operational, and orderly carwash facility and property.
Make good decisions to resolve issues quickly and appropriately.
Assign team member duties and ensure satisfactory completion.
Manage time-off requests and handle last-minute absences.
Inspect equipment and communicate the need for repairs or replacements to management.
Check cash drawers and prepare bank deposits.
Ensure health and safety standards are followed.
Address guest and associate complaints.
Foster and maintain a positive work environment.
Perform other operations, maintenance, and carwash site care duties, as requested.
Required Skills/Abilities:
At least 2 years of successful guest services experience in the food service, retail and/or other customer service industries.
Confidence and desire to work with people to inspire team member development, grow club memberships, and solve problems.
Goal-orientation, a strong work ethic, and ability to multi-task and prioritize goals and tasks.
Comfort with technology and ability to quickly learn a point-of-sale system and a variety of applications on both Apple and PC devices.
Experience in operating a variety of equipment and tools and willingness to learn new mechanical skills.
Ability to maintain clear and transparent communication, both verbally and in writing.
Willingness to abide by our uniform appearance standards and consent to a background check.
Availability to work a flexible schedule based upon project and training requirements.
Willingness to travel periodically (up to 10%).
Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands: Ability to continuously stand or walk for prolonged periods; ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, climb ladders of various sizes, reach, and lift frequently (lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally); must be able to use hands and fingers to operate, handle, and use controls, equipment, and tools; vision must be sufficient to see details up close and must have the ability to focus.
