We are looking for a Project Accountant - Commercial Construction - Life Sciences to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company. 

We are a small boutique Design Build located in Irvine, CA that is well established and our Culture and client base shows it.

We specialize in Life Science, Higher Education, Commercial Tenant Improvement, and other Advanced Technology projects. Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Accountant. The Project Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day financial activities related to construction projects. This includes managing project budgets, tracking expenses, preparing financial reports, and analyzing project costs. The Project Accountant will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Qualifications

• Sage 100 Experience
• Procore Integration knowledge
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience in project accounting or construction accounting
• Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
• Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
• Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
• Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
• Report analysis and findings to management team
