Position Details:
  • Work Location: Onsite
  • Reporting To: CEO
  • Travel: Up to 60% of the time

Salary and Benefits:
  • Salary: $111k to $150k
  • Sign-on Bonus: Negotiable
  • Relocation Stipend: Available for eligible candidates (typically residing more than 2 hours from the facility before accepting the job offer)

Position Summary: The Human Resource Director (HRD) is a strategic partner to the Facility CEO and leadership team, responsible for developing and implementing HR initiatives. The HRD manages employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation, performance management, training, and leadership development. The HRD reports to the hospital CEO and receives direction from the HSC Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for all HR areas within the facility
  • Manage HR staff, define expectations, train, and manage performance
  • Align HR strategies with HRBP direction
  • Develop and implement strategic recruitment, retention, and succession planning
  • Serve as liaison with hospital leadership on HR initiatives
  • Ensure consistent HR policy administration and compliance with regulations
  • Advise management on progressive discipline and facilitate terminations
  • Develop competitive compensation programs using market data
  • Ensure HR compliance for audits and surveys
  • Communicate with employees on benefits, policies, legal updates, training, and engagement
  • Oversee various HR programs such as Workers Compensation, Performance Management, Leave of Absence, and payroll activities
  • Develop and facilitate training programs
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and advise management on necessary actions
  • Support hospital community efforts and ensure regular attendance

  • Maintain hospital standards for a clean and quiet environment
  • Stay current with practice standards, trends, and developments
  • Adhere to policies, protocols, and professional standards
  • Handle confidential patient information per regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service aligned with the organization's values
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Certifications/Licenses: PHR/SPHR certification preferred
  • Experience: Five years of progressive HR experience, preferably in healthcare, with a focus on employee relations, talent acquisition, management, training, and compensation. Supervisory experience and multi-site employee relations management are highly desirable. Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment law, CMS, OSHA, and TJC regulatory compliance
