Plant Manager – Cabot, VT (Onsite)Job Overview:The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all plant operations at our Cabot, VT facility. This role includes managing administration, production, processing, packaging, quality, maintenance, warehousing, shipping, purchasing, safety, and environmental compliance. The Plant Manager will act as the liaison between the plant and corporate departments, as well as regulatory agencies, to ensure cost-effective manufacturing and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Strategy: Build trust and provide strategic insights based on industry trends and business acumen
  • Fiscal Operations: Oversee the plant's budget, manage expenses, and handle fiscal operations to ensure financial efficiency
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain audit readiness and ensure compliance with customer, corporate, and government standards
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous learning and stay current with industry technologies and processes
  • Manufacturing Efficiency: Direct manufacturing activities to fulfill customer orders effectively while upholding quality standards
  • Operational Analysis: Ensure the plant remains a leader in the industry through proactive analysis and operational enhancements
  • Expense Control: Manage and control shrink, labor, and overhead costs
  • Budget Development: Develop and implement annual manufacturing and capital budgets
  • Financial Reporting: Provide reliable information to support the finance team in closing schedules
  • SOP Development: Create, maintain, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Safety & Security: Implement plant safety programs and ensure compliance with food security policies
  • Environmental Health: Ensure adherence to environmental health standards
  • Collaboration: Share best practices with other plant managers within Agri-Mark and collaborate across departments
  • Employee Management: Oversee performance management, employee relations, training, and development, ensuring compliance with corporate policies
Qualifications:
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to translate the company’s vision and mission into actionable plans
  • Execution & Strategy: Assist in strategy development and drive business performance
  • Adaptability: Lead through change and work effectively across departments
  • Influence & Recruitment: Influence peers and senior leadership positively and assist in talent recruitment
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver presentations
  • Interpersonal Skills: High emotional intelligence for handling personnel issues confidentially
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Teamwork: Balance team and individual responsibilities, contributing to a positive team environment
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of financial metrics and operational factors impacting business health

Compensation:
  • Salary: $138,000 to $160,000 annually, with bonus opportunities
  • Partial relocation assistance provided
