POSITION TITLE: Inside Sales FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Sales

REPORTS TO: Chris Beam

In 1988, Kevin Birchmeier had a vision of creating a quality product that consumers could not only trust, but rely on, for the best choice in economically and environmentally responsible sump, sewage and wastewater products. Getting its start out of a 500 square foot garage in Rochester, Indiana, TOPP Industries, Inc. was started from humble beginnings – and only a few employees. Since that time, TOPP has grown to an internationally recognized brand with over 120 employees and over 300,000 square feet of manufacturing space.

Key Responsibilities:

•Customer Engagement: Initiate and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers through phone calls, emails, and online communication platforms.

•Sales Generation: Identify sales opportunities, present products and services, and close sales to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

•Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products and services to effectively communicate features, benefits, and value propositions to customers.

•Lead Management: Qualify and manage inbound leads, ensuring timely follow-up and consistent pipeline activity.

•CRM Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and sales activities in the company’s CRM system.

•Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align sales efforts with promotional activities and with the customer service team to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

•Market Research: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new opportunities for growth.

•Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular sales reports and forecasts to management.

Qualifications:

•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).

•Experience: 1-3 years of experience in inside sales, telemarketing, or customer service (experience in the [industry-specific field] is a plus).

•Skills:

oStrong verbal and written communication skills

oExcellent interpersonal and negotiation abilities

oProficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)

oAbility to work independently and as part of a team

oGoal-oriented with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

oStrong organizational skills and attention to detail
