- Overview:** We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a Forklift safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. In addition to Forklift operation, this position will involve various warehouse duties such as inventory management, order picking, and general upkeep of the warehouse.
- Responsibilities:**
- **Forklift Operation:**
- Operate the Forklift in a safe and efficient manner following all operational procedures and safety protocols.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure the Forklift is in good working condition.
- Load and unload merchandise from trucks and storage areas using the Forklift.
- Move and stack merchandise in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Utilize the Forklift to assist with inventory replenishment and stock rotation.
- **Warehouse Duties:**
- Assist with receiving incoming shipments and verifying the accuracy of merchandise received.
- Perform cycle counts and participate in periodic physical inventory audits.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently based on customer specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping, dusting, and disposing of debris.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding warehouse operations, safety, and security.
- **Team Collaboration:**
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and prioritize tasks.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders and efficient warehouse operations.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
- Qualifications:**
- Valid Forklift operator certification/license.
- Proven experience operating a Forklift in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures, including inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when performing inventory counts and order picking.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or overtime as needed.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines and regulations.
